France submits Rafale jet proposal to India

France has submitted its technical and commercial proposal for India's planned purchase of 114 Rafale fighter jets, a deal that includes local manufacturing and technology transfer. The proposal is under review by India's Defence Ministry and Air Force. The acquisition, initiated by a Letter of Request in May, aims to bolster India's dwindling squadron strength and involves significant indigenisation, with 94 jets to be built in India.
