Government data tabled in the Rajya Sabha shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign visits in 2026 cost ₹74.59 crore through July, covering 25 days across 13 countries, averaging nearly ₹2.98 crore per day. The expenditure includes visits to Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Israel, and others. In 2025, spending hit a record ₹187 crore across 23 countries, with France, Brazil, and the US among the costliest. The figures, provided by Minister of State Pabitra Margherita, highlight the contrast with average Indian travellers' spending.
