SpaceX rocket's moon crater spotted by Korean orbiter

South Korea's Danuri lunar orbiter has captured images of the crater created when a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket stage crashed into the moon on August 5. The Korea Aerospace Research Institute said Danuri conducted eight imaging sessions around the impact, revealing terrain changes and ejecta. The rocket stage was part of a 2025 mission that launched two private lunar landers, one of which crashed.
