Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma said the contentious Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, will be debated in Parliament on August 12, after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Shah assured that the bill will not be applied retrospectively. The bill, introduced in Lok Sabha on March 25, proposes a designated authority to manage assets of non-profits losing their licence, raising concerns among church and minority organisations.
