US poll finds more feel extreme heat, fewer believe in climate change

A new AP-NORC poll shows 66% of Americans believe climate change is happening, down from 73% in September 2025, while more report extreme heat disrupting their daily lives. Thirty percent say heat has a major impact on outdoor activities, up from 21% last year, and 81% report higher electricity bills. The findings come as drought affects 60% of the US, with experts warning of wildfire and infrastructure risks.
