Watchdog finds errors in Doge's $110bn savings claims

A US Government Accountability Office review found that many savings claimed by the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) were incorrect or lacked evidence. The watchdog said Doge did not provide sufficient information to verify methods for 96% of reported savings, and some contracts were never terminated. Doge, formerly led by Elon Musk, reported $110bn in savings but closed last month.
