Indian seafarers missing after Black Sea attack untraceable: Centre

The Indian government told the Supreme Court on Friday that two Indian seafarers missing since a drone attack on their cargo vessel in the Black Sea near Ukraine's Odesa port on July 25 could not be traced despite extensive search and rescue operations by Ukrainian and Romanian authorities. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta submitted a joint action taken report from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Directorate General of Maritime Administration. The court suggested facilitating insurance claims for the families and deferred the hearing for a fresh status report.
