The Supreme Court has issued notice to the Centre on a petition seeking a CBI probe into the alleged breach of medical data of nearly 1.5 lakh Indians held by a technology company. The bench, led by Chief Justice Surya Kant, asked the Centre to respond to the plea filed by Vitraya Technologies Private Limited, which claims the breach across six states violates citizens' fundamental right to privacy under Article 21.
