West Bengal's Health and Family Welfare Department has directed all its establishments to observe two minutes of silence on August 9 in memory of 'Abhaya', the doctor raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College in 2024. The silence will be held from 11:00 to 11:02 am. The Calcutta High Court has ordered a CBI-led SIT to re-investigate the case.
