Kharge sounds Congress poll bugle for Uttarakhand, targets BJP

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday launched the party's campaign for the 2027 Uttarakhand Assembly election, promising merit-based jobs and attacking the BJP over unemployment and defections. He alleged recruitment under the BJP was influenced by money and accused PM Modi and Amit Shah of engineering defections. Kharge also claimed nearly 30 lakh government posts are vacant.
