Rare turtle rescued in Wales flies 5,000 miles home

A Kemp's ridley sea turtle named Rhossi, found cold-stunned on a Welsh beach in December 2023, is being flown 5,000 miles back to the Gulf of Mexico after two years of rehabilitation at Anglesey Sea Zoo. The journey involves a helicopter to London, a cargo flight to Houston, and careful lubrication with KY Jelly and Vaseline to prevent dehydration.
