Supreme Court Allows Abhishek Banerjee to Travel Abroad for Eye Treatment

The Supreme Court on Monday allowed Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee to travel abroad for three weeks for eye treatment, overturning a Calcutta High Court order. The High Court had denied permission on August 5, citing Banerjee's refusal to appear before a medical board. The apex court asserted every individual's right to travel and choose medical treatment.
