No policy bars airport operators from running airlines: Centre

The Indian government said on Monday that no policy restricts airport operators from holding equity in or operating scheduled airlines, though PPP agreements impose some curbs. The Airports Authority of India has received a waiver request, but the ministry has not yet examined it. The clarification follows reports of Adani Group's interest in the airline business.
