Indian doctors urge ban on junk food ads, warning labels

Leading Indian health experts have urged the government to ban junk food advertising and introduce warning labels, citing rising obesity and non-communicable diseases. They called for implementing Economic Survey 2025-26 recommendations, including restricting ads for high-fat, sugar, salt foods between 6am and 11pm.
