In a historic first, 'Vande Mataram' will be sung at the Red Fort during India's 80th Independence Day celebrations on August 15, marking 150 years of the national song. The event's theme will highlight 'Yuva Shakti' (youth power) and its role in building a developed India by 2047. Defence Secretary R K Singh said the youth focus predates the Jantar Mantar protest.
