Ingebrigtsen wins fourth European 5,000m title after injury

Jakob Ingebrigtsen returned from an 11-month injury layoff to win the European Championships 5,000m gold, becoming the first man to win four European titles in the event. The Norwegian kicked to victory with a 54-second last lap, beating silver medalist Bremm by 0.31 seconds. Ingebrigtsen, who had surgery on his Achilles tendon in February, said he had dreamt of this moment.
