Shivakumar hits back at Kumaraswamy over Bidadi protest

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar accused JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy of organizing the BJP-JDS padayatra against the Bidadi Township project solely for the political future of his son, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, and not for farmers. Shivakumar noted the Congress government is continuing the project initiated by the previous government, offering higher compensation of ₹2.5-3 crore versus the earlier ₹25 lakh. The JD(S) condemned the government for using police force to disrupt the march, calling it anti-farmer.
