Diesel prices surge on refinery attacks

U.S. and European diesel prices rose sharply on Monday after attacks on refineries in Russia and Saudi Arabia disrupted supply. The U.S. ultra-low sulfur diesel futures jumped 7.4% to $4.19 a gallon, while European refining margins climbed nearly 10%, raising concerns for farmers during planting and harvesting seasons.
