India's Defence Ministry has issued a tender worth around Rs 1 lakh crore for 60 multirole transport aircraft for the Indian Air Force. Tata, Mahindra, and HAL are competing, with Mahindra partnering with Embraer and Tata with Lockheed Martin. Most aircraft will be manufactured in India with over 60% indigenous content.
