Banks and essential services will remain operational during the Karnataka bandh on Thursday, from 6 am to 6 pm, called by Kannada organisations over the Cauvery water dispute. The protest follows a CWMA order for Karnataka to release 12,000 cusecs of water daily to Tamil Nadu for 15 days. Bengaluru is expected to be largely unaffected.
