Poll: Americans value youth sports, but costs limit access

A new AP-Ipsos poll finds Americans overwhelmingly see benefits in children playing organized sports, including teamwork and reduced screen time. However, participation is higher among affluent families, with about 7 in 10 K-12 parents earning $100,000+ annually saying their kids play, versus 4 in 10 lower-income parents. Costs, including fees and travel, pose significant challenges.
