SEBI proposes digital KYC for overseas Indian investors

India's market regulator SEBI has proposed easing KYC norms for non-resident investors, allowing fully digital onboarding without physical presence in India for those in FATF-compliant countries. The plan also makes KYC records portable across intermediaries and seeks comments by September 4, 2026.
