Invasive carp dominate Mississippi River fish die-off

Hundreds of dead fish have washed up along the Mississippi River in Missouri and Illinois, with about 90% identified as invasive silver and bighead carp. Officials attribute the deaths to warm temperatures, low water, and reduced oxygen. The die-off may benefit native fish by reducing competition.
