Two people died in wildfires on the Greek island of Salamis, while Belgium faced its largest fire in over a century in the High Fens nature reserve, near the German border. About 600 people were evacuated, and firefighting aircraft from Sweden and helicopters from Belgium and the Netherlands were deployed. The fire has ravaged about 3,000 hectares.
