India's Enforcement Directorate has found that the Trinamool Congress allegedly paid Rs 160 crore to Carewell Aviation, a little-known firm, to buy an Embraer jet and an Agusta helicopter, which were then rented back to the party for Rs 187 crore. The probe suggests an artificial arrangement, with TMC also paying Rs 149 crore to hire other aircraft despite not using minimum guaranteed hours.
