Indonesia quake kills 55, thousands await aid

A magnitude 7.7 earthquake on Indonesia's Flores Island killed at least 55 people, injured over 130, and damaged more than 1,300 homes. About 5,000 residents are in temporary shelters, with many still awaiting aid. The province declared a 14-day state of emergency, and authorities recorded nearly 1,000 aftershocks.
