Russia upholds ban on opposition Yabloko party, jails deputy leader

Russia's Supreme Court rejected an appeal by the anti-war Yabloko party against a ban from September's parliamentary elections, while a separate court sentenced deputy leader Lev Shlosberg to 11 years in prison for opposing the Ukraine war. The party called the ban an erosion of democracy and an attempt to silence opposition.
