The Mexican Navy rescued two fishermen, aged 53 and 32, on 19 August, about 150 miles off the coast of Chiapas, Mexico. They had been missing for five days after their fishing cooperative lost contact and issued a distress call. The men were found alive floating in a cool box, typically used for storing fish, and were medically evaluated before reuniting with their families.
