Solar kiosks bring healthcare to rural Chad

Solar-powered telemedicine kiosks in rural Chad are helping residents overcome distance and limited access to doctors. The Telemedan initiative, launched in 2021, has 37 kiosks across 11 provinces, reaching an estimated 143,000 people. Consultations cost between $2 and $15, significantly less than the $200 or more for travel to see a doctor.
