Wildfire forces thousands to evacuate Reno neighborhoods

The fast-growing Hawk Fire spread from the Sierra foothills toward Reno, Nevada, growing to over 10,500 acres and forcing nearly 14,000 homes to evacuate. A state of emergency was declared, and the National Guard was mobilized. Strong winds and dry conditions fueled the blaze, which also caused power outages and road closures.
