Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi has been hired by Tata Trusts to represent it in its escalating dispute with Tata Sons over Chairman N Chandrasekaran's reappointment and a proposed public listing. Singhvi said he enters the fray with "sadness and regret" that the issues could not be resolved amicably, warning that stultifying shareholder-ownership rights would spell doomsday for corporate governance.
