US, Denmark, Greenland Reach New Security Agreement

The United States, Denmark and Greenland have reached a new security agreement that appears to de-escalate nearly two years of tensions over the Danish autonomous territory. Much of the deal may restate rights already granted under the 1951 defence agreement, though Trump claims it has no end date and gives Washington a veto over adversarial bases or sensitive investments in Greenland.
