Tata Trusts Says Chandrasekaran Reappointment Legally Invalid

Tata Trusts has challenged the September 17 reappointment of N Chandrasekaran as Tata Sons chairman, saying the resolution lacked mandatory support from both Trust-nominated directors. The board voted 4-1 in favour, with Noel Tata opposing and Venu Srinivasan backing. The Trusts, holding 66%, called the resolution void and rejected claims of a deadlock.
