Eighteen suspects in the 2021 assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise were flown from Port-au-Prince to Florida on Sunday to face federal charges. Prosecutors say the plot was engineered and financed from southern Florida. The transfer follows May convictions of four men; at least five others pleaded guilty and are serving life sentences.
