European Court hears case of 10 missing Ukrainian children

The European Court of Human Rights heard a case on Tuesday concerning 10 Ukrainian children, aged one to five, forcibly transferred from Crimea after Russia's 2014 annexation and placed for adoption. The Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union argues their disappearance amounts to enforced disappearance, as no information on their whereabouts has emerged since 2014 despite repeated requests.
