The United States, Denmark and Greenland signed a security agreement on Tuesday aimed at ending months of tension over the Arctic island. The deal, signed on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, adds to a 1951 US-Danish defence pact. It bars non-NATO military presence and protects Greenland's self-determination, but requires parliamentary approval.
