Qatar Welcomes Belgium-Rwanda Ties Restoration Via Diplomacy

Qatar has welcomed the restoration of diplomatic ties between Belgium and Rwanda, 18 months after they expelled each other's diplomats over the conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. Doha facilitated the first talks in June 2025. Qatari officials reaffirmed that diplomacy remains the only path to resolving global crises, from Africa's Great Lakes region to the Gulf.
