An Indian seafarer was killed when the vessel MV Cape Dao was hit by two torpedoes while transiting toward India off the Oman coast. The Forward Seamen's Union of India identified the deceased as Wiper Suraj Yadav from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. The ship carried 28 crew, including 20 Indians, though the Indian Embassy in Oman cited 19 Indian nationals. The embassy is coordinating with Omani authorities and monitoring crew safety.
