The son of Israel's ambassador to the US, Yechiel Leiter, was critically injured in a car-ramming attack at a checkpoint near Beit Horon in the occupied West Bank. Israeli forces shot dead the Palestinian driver, identified as 29-year-old Mahmoud Mohammad Mahmoud Suleiman. The attack occurred a day before Prime Minister Netanyahu is set to address the UN.
