Nine passengers died when a bus travelling from Delhi caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida late Wednesday night, near the 33-km milestone under Jewar police station. Most passengers were asleep as the blaze spread; survivors described thick smoke and a stampede-like scramble to escape. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief and ordered treatment for the injured.
