UN: Gaza Recovery Needs $71.5bn Amid Record Economic Crisis

Gaza's recovery and reconstruction needs have reached an estimated $71.5 billion and are likely to rise, UNCTAD reported Thursday. The UN trade body said Gaza's economy has suffered the world's most severe crisis on record, with over 90 percent of the working-age population unemployed and 92 percent of economic establishments damaged or destroyed since October 2023.
