The National Highways Authority of India has issued new guidelines for upcoming high-speed National Highways, introducing Multi-Lane Free Flow tolling that lets vehicles pay electronically without stopping. The rules cover four- and six-lane Greenfield and Brownfield corridors, excluding expressways, and mandate smarter traffic forecasting, machine-aided construction, planned greenery and detailed drainage to prevent waterlogging.
