The Centre has extended the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act in specified areas of Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh for another six months from October 1, following a law and order review. In Manipur, the entire state except 13 police station areas is declared disturbed. Notifications were issued under Section 3 of the Act.
