Nepal PM Calls Flood a 'Warning to World' at UN

Nepal's Prime Minister Balendra Shah told the UN General Assembly that last month's catastrophic flood, which killed over 1,400 people, was a 'warning to the world' on climate change. He said recovery needs are about 10% of GDP and urged grant-based international support, not more loans. Over 6,000 people remain missing.
