India's bank deposit growth reached its highest level in 15 years in August, the RBI said in its September bulletin, helping moderate the incremental credit-deposit ratio. The ratio peaked near 114 percent in May and has declined since, aided by foreign currency non-resident deposits that drew inflows of up to $133 billion through a special swap window. System liquidity stayed in surplus.
