EPFO Sets 12-Month Wait for Early Retirees' Full PF Withdrawal

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has introduced a 12-month waiting period for members who quit or retire before age 55 to withdraw their full EPF balance, per a June 29, 2026 notification. Such members may withdraw 75 per cent within 12 months. Those retiring after 55 can claim the entire balance within 10 days. The rule aims to stop premature withdrawals during job changes.
