At least 11 people were killed and 30 injured when a blast struck a security checkpoint in Dera Ismail Khan, northwestern Pakistan, on Saturday. A police official said a suspected suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the checkpoint, which is jointly operated by police, military and customs personnel. Authorities have not identified those responsible.
