A US jury has ordered Apple to pay over $5.7 billion to San Diego-based Taction after finding that the Taptic Engine in iPhones and Apple Watches infringed two of Taction's patents. Apple said it will appeal the verdict, which it called the largest of its kind in the US. The case was revived last year after a 2023 ruling in Apple's favor.
