Jaishankar Warns UN That Distant Nations Bear Conflict Costs

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told the UN General Assembly that wars in Ukraine and the Gulf are penalising countries far from the fighting, hitting energy, food and trade. He called attacks on commercial shipping and seafarers unacceptable, urged restraint and de-escalation, and said India is ready to help protect food and energy security.
