US, China Agree Tariff Relief on $30 Billion in Goods

The US and China agreed to more favourable tariff treatment for $30 billion of non-sensitive goods in each direction and launched a formal dialogue on artificial intelligence during Xi Jinping's three-day visit to Washington. The deal operationalises the US-China Boards of Trade and Investment, extends their trade truce by two months, and includes China importing at least 10 million metric tonnes of US coal in 2027 and 2028.
